Animal shelters across the U.S. are often overcrowded, making the need for pet food a top priority. Pet food expenses take up a large portion of shelter budgets, leaving limited resources for other vital necessities such as medical care. This is where Greater Good Charities’ GOODS Program steps in, offering vital nutrition to pets and enabling shelters to reallocate funds to other essential services.

Thanks to the Skout’s Honor Paw Pledge, every purchase of a Skout’s Honor product contributes to feeding rescue animals. By February 2022, Skout's Honor customers had already donated 10 million meals, and by May 2023, this generous community reached an incredible milestone—15 million meals donated to pets in need through the GOODS Program!

Skout’s Honor, founded in California in 2015 by Pete Stirling and Macon Brock, has grown from a pet lifestyle brand with roots in pet grooming, odor removal, and wellness, to offering over 75 products for both dogs and cats. Recent product expansions include pet grooming wipes and new cat grooming products, with more exciting launches on the horizon.

Despite their growth, Skout's Honor remains committed to helping pets in need. Their plant-powered, cruelty-free products come with the added benefit of making a direct impact through the Skout’s Paw Pledge. For every product sold, the equivalent of one day's worth of food is donated to a rescue animal, furthering their mission to empower consumers to make a difference with every purchase.

This initiative is an example of conscious consumerism, where customers actively support products that align with positive social, economic, and environmental values. With every purchase, Skout’s Honor customers become part of the solution—helping to fight pet hunger and support animals in shelters across the country.

Thank you to Skout’s Honor and their customers for helping reach the 15 million meal milestone. We look forward to seeing the next 15 million meals donated to pets in need!
